TAI X-Press
TAI X-press is a communication tool to facilitate the transfer of electronic information from ceding companies to reinsurers and from reinsurers to retrocessionnaires. It is a separate windows based application that can be used by any company with the ability to send electronic data. Non TAI System users as well as TAI customers can subscribe to the service.

The service provides a means for a company to transmit electronic information from their site to another site through a secure HTTPS, SFTP, or FTPS link. It is a push process eliminating the need for other companies to acquire access to your secure servers or poll your servers to see if information is available for them.

For reinsurance purposes ceding companies can send monthly and quarterly reinsurance reports to their reinsurers. The reports may include: billing transactions, policy exhibit, in force, reserves, and claims statements and any other reports or files that are created. The service also supports sending claims information including: claim notification, death certificate, proof of payment, claimant statement, request for payment and any other supporting documentation. Data can be in the form of pdf, jpg, Excel spreadsheet, Word document or any other electronic medium.

The software is easy to use and saves time by eliminating the need to create hard copy documents for multiple companies or creating CD’s which are then mailed or sent by a service to the reinsurer or retrocessionnaire. The time saved in manpower resources and shipping is far greater than the charge for the service. Moreover, as documents are compressed and sent there is a log of the contents and the date data was sent so it can be resent if it is lost or misplaced by the receiving party. Information is sent in a timely basis and can be scheduled after normal business hours when there may be less server activity. Also, there are no file size limitations.

Most reinsurers are already receiving X-press transmissions. If any of your reinsurers are not set up for X-press have them contact us and we will assist them to receive information. As more companies join the service it will facilitate the communication of electronic information among ceding companies, reinsurers and retrocessionnaires and improve overall service for all parties.
