TAI is All-In for Clients in 2021

By Brian Traxler | February 02, 2021

2020 was a challenging year, but we continue to charge forward on the mission to increase your administrative efficiency while reducing your financial and operational risks.

As we step into 2021, we want to ensure our valued clients, partners, and the TAI community are well equipped for the new year. Here we recap 2020 highlights and provide insights into some exciting initiatives going on behind the scenes. We look forward to continuing working together to navigate the new year.

2020 Spurs Business Process Improvements

Adapting to support both clients and employees was one of the first major changes we faced early last year. TAI was well positioned to manage the transition with little to no disruption of software development and support for our rapidly growing client services business.

On the software side of our business, we completed nine upgrades for clients’ core reinsurance software, including the latest features and security updates. We also launched three new international relationships in the UK, South Africa, and Hong Kong. We look forward to going live in all three countries in 2021.

Delivering Services in a Virtual Environment

The services side of TAI’s business was just as busy. Our dedicated team of reinsurance experts conducted multiple consulting engagements via web conferences with clients, including treaty risk assessments and business process improvements. In doing so, we helped many clients develop new best practices for optimizing their treaty data and business operations while ensuring industry and regulatory compliance. We also continued to provide support for clients’ reinsurance administration operations in both partial and full capacity when needed.

Enhancing the TAI Client Experience

Finally, we took direct feedback from the TAI community to make improvements to internal processes to better serve clients during project engagements and increase the resources available for clients to leverage through the Help Desk, webinars, and blogs. Finding ways to continue to improve clients’ experience with the TAI team continues to be a top priority in the new year.

Looking Forward to 2021

The coming year looks like it will be much the same as far as traveling and working remotely, so we will continue to connect with clients virtually through webinars, conference calls, and other electronic platforms.

Travel restrictions prevented us from hosting our annual User Group in 2020, but we delivered webinars covering a variety of topics that are now available on demand. Topics included Basic Audit Training, Basic Claims Training, and Reports and Exports. Clients can access the recordings in the Knowledge Base on the Help Desk. We’re currently working on our 2021 webinar schedule. Please let us know if you have a topic request.

Upcoming Software Launches

In 2021, we will also be launching TAI 4.0. We’ve used new technology to modernize the software, removing any COBOL dependencies. We’ve also added enhancements to reinsurance administration and streamlined how we will deliver and implement future upgrades. The rollout is scheduled to begin with a few early adopters in early 2021. Toward the end of 2021 and into 2022, clients will be able to sign up to migrate to TAI 4.0.

Finally, we will be launching a much-anticipated treaty digitization tool in 2021. This tool will provide insurers and reinsurers with a digital solution for treaty management so that they can easily store, search, and export key treaty data.

How Can We Help?

Thank you to all of you who participated in virtual client meetings last year. We missed seeing each other in person at client meetings and conferences, but the efficiency of remote communications during this difficult year was appreciated all around. Together, we developed a set of best practices for electronic communications that should serve us well in 2021 and beyond.

While we’re all looking forward to the new year, it’s likely to be just as challenging in many ways. We’d love to discuss how TAI can help your organization grow and adapt. You can reach out to me directly to set up a personal meeting.
