TAI Hosts First-Ever Complimentary VIP Training Session: Elevating Client Expertise.
In direct response to client feedback requesting more opportunities for advanced training, TAI proudly launched its first-ever Complimentary VIP Training Session. This exclusive event was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the 3.X Life System and provide direct access to our subject matter experts (SMEs). The agenda was curated around frequently asked client questions and best practices that can be applied when carrying out reinsurance administration.
A Day of Insightful Learning
The training featured a structured agenda divided into three focused segments:
Treaty Setup – Led by Mindy Epstein, Manager of Client Delivery, this session explored eight key topics and approximately 20 fields on the Treaty Setup screen. These fields were selected based on:
o Common questions submitted to the TAI Helpdesk SysAid system.
o Highlighting valid values within the TAI base system.
o Demonstrating the impact of field setup on premium calculations and financial reporting.
Frasier Calculations – Presented by Michele Fahey, Manager of Client Delivery, this walkthrough showcased the actuarial approach for calculating premiums on joint survivorship (last-to-die) policies using individual insured characteristics. One attendee remarked that the session was “done better than Mr. Frasier himself!”
Manual Adjustments – Delivered by Jen Torkelson, Manager of Client Delivery, this segment addressed the multiple ways to process manual adjustments in TAI. Jen demonstrated:
o Recalculations
o Error report cleanup
o Policy values history
o Policy Exhibit
o Frasier recalculations
o Treaty corrections (CER/ADD)
Jen also provided a preview of the intuitive design in version 4.0, despite encountering unexpected demo region issues during the live demonstration.
Interactive Q&A and Expert Access
The day concluded with a general Q&A session followed by the highly anticipated “Ask the Experts” segment. This gave clients the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with SMEs to address specific training needs and gain personalized guidance.
Outstanding Feedback
The response was overwhelmingly positive—100% of participants rated the VIP Training experience favorably. This feedback reinforces TAI’s commitment to delivering value-driven learning opportunities that empower clients to maximize system capabilities.
